The Younger Woman’s Club of Louisville conducts a series of annual fundraising activities throughout the membership year. The funds raised by our initiatives, including Fashion Show, Charity Ball, Phone-a-thon, and other events, are distributed into the greater Louisville community through a series of grants.

How are Grant Recipients chosen?

The YWC conducts a rigorous and systematic grant-making process through the use of a large committee of Club members. These members, our Charities Group, carefully review each proposal and conduct site visit interviews to learn more about the applicant organization and its specific funding request. The committee studies, recommends, and selects the annual grant recipients from among all proposals submitted by local nonprofit organizations.

Our pool of available funding varies every year based on the amount of money we raise and the total number of grant dollars requested. We typically receive more applications than we can fund.

How does an organization apply for a YWC Grant?

To apply for a YWC grant, please review the Standing Rules and Policies of the Younger Woman’s Club Charities Group governing our allocation of funds and requirements for grant applicants before completing our Grant Application. We cannot consider grant requests that are incomplete or do not comply with our Policies.

Starting in 2016-17, grant requests may not exceed $5000.00.  Actual award amounts may vary.  Proposals that are over the $5000.00 maximum request amount will not be accepted.
